A Unique Healing Experience For Kids With Serious Medical Conditions

We’re a proud sponsor of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for seriously ill children and their families and we have a lofty goal we hope you’ll help us achieve by participating in our 5th Annual Swedish Motors Golf Tournament on July 22th. 2017. We’re hoping to raise enough money to send 20 children to camp. Why are we so passionate about this particular camp and its campers? Read on and we’re sure you’ll agree we’ve chosen an extremely worthwhile cause to support.

What is The Hole in the Wall Camp?

In 1988, the legendary Paul Newman (known not only for his acting but also for his philanthropic works and love of nature) founded the Ashford, Conn., The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp with a simple mission. Newman wanted to create a special place that would allow seriously ill children aged 7-15 to experience the magic, friendships and fun of attending summer camp. Since its inception, the camp has added programs for healthy siblings of campers and parents, and created a hospital outreach program to take the camp to the hospital rooms of kids who can’t attend in person. The Hole in the Wall blends traditional camp activities like fishing, horseback riding, swimming and crafts with the unobtrusive (often extensive) medical support campers need.
